How to Make Ice Dragon Tincture- Potent

Hello I’m Chef Sky from Infuzed Cookin.   Welcome to my Colorado kitchen.

Today we are going to talk about-How to Make Ice Dragon Tincture-Potent

This fast and easy method is a great way to make a tincture using alcohol and Ice. In this video you will find out why Ice Dragon makes a potent tincture, what you will need from your kitchen, and how to successfully make Ice Dragon Tincture.

Why Ice Dragon Makes a Potent Tincture:

Waiting weeks or months on a mixture of Green Dragon to produce a tincture is fine, but if you are looking for faster safer method. Ice Dragon is made with more potent THC trichomes and less plant material and chlorophyll.

Placing cannabis and alcohol in a very cold in the freezer before pouring the alcohol over the cannabis, helps break off the trichomes and minimize chlorophyll seeping into your tincture.

Fact: Sublingual application is definitely faster. You’ll feel the effects within 15-20 minutes and those effects will peak in 60-90 minutes. But if you use strong proof alcohol, you can burn the tissue under your tongue so be aware of that.

Fact: Swallowing tinctures will take longer for you to feel the effects, at 30-60 minutes. It will peak in 2-3 hours. These are perfect for putting in your coffee, ice cubes, and gummies.

Note: This is one of the easiest tinctures to make and is an alternative method of making tinctures using heat to purge the alcohol.

What You Will Need to Make Ice Dragon Tincture:

Alcohol: Ever clear or 80 proof+ alcohol to cover your cannabis

Two mason jars with lids

Funnel Strainer

Coffee Filters

Dark Glass Bottle or Dark Glass Dropper Bottles

Enough room in the freezer for two Mason Jars.

Ingredients:

1-cup 420 Extractor

Decarboxylated cannabis 7 to 14 Grams (THC-CBD-CBG)

Note: 420 Extractor is a Colorado based Company that makes Grain alcohol that’s perfect for extracting cannabis, 420 Extractor is less expensive than Ever Clear.

Fact: Everclear is a popular brand of grain alcohol at 95 % alcohol which is 190 proof. One of the most pure alcohols on the market. Several states have banned grain alcohol.

Fact: Vodka is often used in states where you can’t get grain alcohol. I n comparison vodka is at 40 percent alcohol content which is 80 proof. Everclear is more than twice the proof of most liquor

How to Make Ice Dragon Tincture:

1. Place the Decardoxylated Cannabis in one Mason jar and the alcohol in the second Mason jar. Put both mason jars in the back of your freezer. 24hrs.

2. Remove the two mason jars from the freezer and pour the alcohol over the frozen cannabis. Pour enough very cold alcohol to cover the plant material completely.

3. Put the lid on the Mason jar and shake vigorously for several minutes.

4. Place the Mason jar with cannabis and alcohol in the back of your freezer.

5. Shake vigorously again every 3-5 hours and place back into the freezer.

6. The tincture will be ready to use in as soon as one day, though you can leave the tincture in the freezer for several days or even a couple of weeks.

7. Once the tincture has reached the desired potency, Set a funnel on top of a Mason jar and line it with a coffee filter. Pour it over the coffee filter funnel and allow it to strain freely.

You can purge some or all of the alcohol if you like or you can keep it as it is an alcohol based tincture. To purge off the alcohol you can remove the lid and let sit out in the open and let the alcohol evaporate leaving you with a clean product that can be combined with a carrier.

Pour the tincture into dark glass bottle or into dark glass dropper bottles.

Storage Tips: You can store this tincture in your fridge for months and longer because it is alcohol based.

Chef’s Notes: When using alcohol for extracting you will get more potent tinctures using different strains along with different amounts of cannabis using the same exact recipe.

Final Note: Use the THC/CBD calculator and enter your numbers. Keep tract of these numbers and label your final product so you are aware of how much you are taking per dose.

If using heat to purge off alcohol makes you feel stressed, this method may be worth trying out.

Thank You and Happy Infusing.

How to Decarboxylate Shake and Trim- For Tinctures

Hello I’m Chef Sky from Infuzed Cookin.   Welcome to my Colorado kitchen.

Today we are going to talk about- How to Decarboxylate Shake and Trim – For Tinctures

Decarboxylation is the first and most important step to infusing foods with cannabis. In this video you will find out why it’s important to decarboxylate cannabis, what you will need from your kitchen and how to successfully decarboxylate cannabis shake and trim.

Thank You. Let’s get Infuzed.

Why it’s Important to Decarboxylate Shake and Trim:

The two main factors for decarboxylation to happen are heat and time. Drying and curing cannabis over time will cause a partial decarboxylation to occur but cooking with cannabis requires THC and CBD to be activated through decarboxylation.

Fact: If you were to eat raw cannabis shake and trim, it is very unlikely that you will feel the effects of THC. Raw cannabis contains very little or no THC or CBD until it’s activated through smoking or decarboxylation.

Fact: In order to get the benefits of THC or CBD you must activate cannabis through decarboxylation.

What you will Need to Decarboxylate Cannabis Shake and Trim

In order to decarboxylate cannabis at home, all you need is cannabis, an oven set to 240 degrees, some parchment paper, a baking tray and aluminum foil.

Fact: You don’t need expensive decarboxylating machines to activate cannabis.

Fact: Decarboxylation can be done in your own kitchen by baking the dried cannabis in an oven at a low temperature for a certain period of time.

Oven

Oven Thermometer (Used to verify oven temp)

Baking Tray (Rimmed)

Aluminum foil

Parchment paper

Ingredients:

Cannabis Flower 28 grams of shake and trim

How to Decarboxylate: Cannabis Shake and Trim

To maintain the highest levels of THC potency, you should keep oven temperatures as close as possible to 240°F (160°C). Use an oven thermometer to double check the temperature within your oven.  The temperature on your dial may not represent the actual temperature within the oven.

Fact: It’s important to regulate temperature controls when decarboxylating cannabis. Heat is needed to decarboxylate, but extreme temperatures can destroy the THC and CBD contained in cannabis.

Chefs Notes:  Optional -Oven Thermometer (Used to verify oven temp)

1. Pre-heat oven to 240°F (160°C).

2. Line a flat baking sheet or rimmed baking pan with parchment paper.

3. Do not grid cannabis to a fine powder, doing this will put more plant material into the medium that you are infusing.

4. Spread your coarsely ground cannabis evenly over the baking sheet or rimmed pan so that the heat distributes evenly, cover with foil.

Make sure the baking sheet or rimmed pan is the correct size so there is little or no empty space on the pan when you spread out your cannabis.

5. Bake the cannabis at 240°F (160°C)-for 40 minutes. This will activate your cannabis and give it a roasted, nutty smell. (Try to minimize the times you open the oven to regulate the temperature.)

6. Remove from oven, let cool. Your cannabis is ready to infuse.

7. Make sure to store the decarboxylated cannabis in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.

Chefs Notes: Heating recommendation for THCA to THC decarboxylation is to bake the flower at 240° F for 40 minutes. Heating recommendation for CBDA to CBD decarboxylation is to bake the flower at 240°F for 90 minutes.

Final Note: Use a THC/CBD calculator and enter your numbers. Keep tract of these numbers and always label your final product so you are aware of how much you are taking per dose.

How to Make Canna Banana Ice Cream

Chef Sky

Hello I’m Chef Sky from Infuzed Cookin.   Welcome to my Colorado kitchen.

Today we are going to talk about-How to Make Canna Banana Ice Cream

This easy method is a fun way to make Canna ice cream using Canna milk. In this video you will find out why canna banana tastes so good, what you will need from your kitchen, and how to successfully make canna banana ice cream.

Thank You. Let’s get Infuzed.

Why Canna Banana Tastes so Good

Bananas have been around for 10,000 years and may have been the world’s first fruit. The first bananas were grown in Indonesia, the Philippines and New Guinea.

Today they are grown in 135 countries for their fruit, to make fiber, banana wine, banana beer, and canna banana ice cream. The world’s largest producer of bananas is India and China, which together accounted for 38% of total production.

Overly ripe bananas are the secret to sweeten canna banana ice cream plus they pack a lot of potassium and nutrients so overly ripe bananas are best for canna banana ice cream.

Bananas ripen through Ethylene gas found in fruits and vegetables. Green bananas haven’t turned all the starches into sugar yet so that’s why a green banana tastes like a starchy potato and not a sweet tropical fruit.

Notes: To make bananas ripen faster, put bananas in a paper bag. If you add apples to the bag, this will speed up the process.

Fact: Green bananas will soften and turn yellow, then develop brown spots, and finally turn brown or black.

Chef’s Notes: Yellow bananas with brown spots are sweet and delicious to eat fresh. Dark bananas are soft and sweet are ideal for baking cakes and breads. Check on them daily to see if they’ve ripened enough.

What you will Need to Make Canna Banana Ice Cream

A simple ice cream maker

Cannabis-infused milk

 Ice cream maker

Saucepan

Silicone Spatula

Stove

Glass Bowl to put the custard mixture into the Fridge overnight

Plastic wrap to cover the custard mix.

Chefs Notes: There is one item you may not have in your kitchen. A simple Ice Cream maker. Although Ice cream can be made without an Ice Cream maker, this method makes creamy smooth ice cream that churns the canna milk with little effort.

Ingredients:

1 3/4 cups Canna milk

3/4 cup sugar

1/8 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs, beaten

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 Overly ripe banana

How to Make Cana Banana Ice Cream

1. In heavy saucepan, combine milk, sugar, and salt.

2. Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until mixture is steaming. Reduce heat to low.

3. In medium bowl, slightly beat eggs.

4. Slowly whisk half of the hot mixture into the eggs and pour back into saucepan.

5. Cook over medium-low heat until slightly thick, about 3 minutes.

6. Remove from heat and Let Cool

7. Cover the Custard mixture

8. Refrigerate overnight

9. When ready to freeze, stir in heavy cream and vanilla into the chilled custard mixture

10. Start the ice cream maker and add the mashed banana and pour in the custard mixture.  Churn for 20-40 minutes or until desired consistency.

Chef’s Note: When it comes to favorite ice cream flavors, Howard Hughes found out that Las Vegas Baskin-Robbins was discontinuing his favorite ice cream flavor: Banana Nut. So Hughes bought 350 gallons of banana nut ice cream. Shortly after Hughes was tired of Banana Nut and preferred French Vanilla, so the Desert Sands Hotel gave away free ice cream for over a year to try and get rid of the large supply of banana nut ice cream.

Final Note: Use the THC/CBD calculator and enter your numbers. Keep tract of these numbers and label your final product so you are aware of how much you are taking per dose.

When it comes to favorite ice cream flavors this is it. Churning Canna Banana is a fun way to make canna ice cream using canna milk. This really tastes good and won’t last long.

Thank You and Happy Infusing……………………………..

How to Make Purple Daze MCT Tinctures Using Distillate

Chef Sky- Infuzed Cookin

How to Make MCT Tinctures Using Distillate plus Terpenes

Hello I’m Chef Sky from Infuzed Cookin.   Welcome to my Colorado kitchen.

Today we are going to talk about-How to Make MCT tinctures using Distillate plus Terpenes

This easy method is a great way to make Purple Daze MCT Tinctures Using Distillate and terpenes. In this video you will find out why distillate works great for making potent MCT tinctures, what you will need from your kitchen, and how to successfully make MCT tinctures using THC distillate.

Thank You. Let’s get Infuzed.

Why Distillate Works Great for Making Potent MCT Tinctures

One issue when making MCT tinctures with decarboxylated cannabis is that the taste is hard to cover up with flavors. When you use distillate, the decarboxylation process can be skipped with distillate. The Cannabis oil is ready to go right out of the syringe delivering almost pure cannabinoids.

Cannabis concentrates separate cannabinoids like THC and CBD to create pure and refined cannabis oil. The average cannabis flower contains 15-25% THC. Distillate is a clean and clear concentrate with up to 99% activated THC.

MCT Oil is medium chain triglyceride oil derived from coconuts and odor free and tasteless. When you add decarboxylated cannabis to tasteless MCT oil the flavor of the decarboxylated cannabis will overpower the MCT oil.

Fact: The science behind MCT is simple. MCTs go directly from the digestive system to the bloodstream without being digested first. This makes MCT oil ideal for tinctures.

Fact: Short path distillation removes any measurable amount of terpene content from the heat. Extractors add terpenes after extraction to create specialized flavors.

Chef’s Notes: With a potency of nearly 99%, cannabis distillate is not for the inexperienced.

Using Full Gram Distillate

990mg distillate divided by 30ml MCT oil = dosage of 33mg THC per milliliter of oil.

Using Half Gram Distillate

495mg distillate divided by 30ml MCT = dosage of 16.5mg THC per milliliter of oil.

What you will Need to Make MCT Tincture Using THC Distillate

Dropper Bottles (1 fluid ounce = 30 milliliters) (2 tablespoons) (28 grams)

Small funnel (to fill dropper bottles)

Glass beaker (to measure in Milliliters)

Stirring stick

Bowl hot water (to warm the distillate)

Ingredients:

THC Distillate 1 gram = 990mg Indica-Grand Daddy Purps-PH

MCT Oil-non flavored

MCT Flavorings-Grape MCT oil.

Chef’s Notes: These cannabis flavored distillates in Grand Daddy Purps are mixed with MCT fruit terpenes to create a tincture I call Purple Daze.

Suggested Starting Ratio: Use1 – 3% in your finished product, adjusted to taste and application, and presence of sweeteners. MCT flavors can be mixed together to create you’re a unique flavor blend.

How to Make MCT Tinctures Using THC Distillate

1. Warm the glass distillate syringe in hot water bath to slightly loosen the product.

2. While the distillate is warming up. Measure out 27ml of MCT oil into the glass beaker.

3. Add the warm distillate to the MCT oil using the glass syringe. Mix the distillate and the MCT oil to thoroughly incorporate the distillate into the oil.

4. Add MCT flavoring 1ml. of flavor per 30ml. of oil.

5. Mix the distillate, MCT oil, and MTC flavoring.

6. After combined, warm the oil/distillate solution in warm water bath until dissolved.

7. Pour the oil into a tincture bottle

8. Shake the bottle to mix the ingredients thoroughly.

9. The Tincture is ready to use.

Fact: Do not use the microwave to heat distillate because too much heat can destroy the THC or CBD content.

Notes: Failure to warm up the distillate in warm water can break the glass syringe trying to dispense the sticky oil.

Fact: MCT oil is flavorless.  Some distillates are flavorless and some have added terpenes for flavor.  This distillate has terpene blends added to mimic Grand Daddy Purps.

Chef’s Notes: There are many bottle options and sizes; but the important part is the calibrated/marked eyedropper. Just put a few drops under your tongue and wait a few minutes. The cannabinoids and terpenes are absorbed into the bloodstream through the thin membrane under the tongue. Tinctures are fast acting, depending on the size of the dose; the effects should last for a few hours.

Final Note: Use a THC/CBD calculator and enter your numbers. Keep tract of these numbers and always label your final product so you are aware of how much you are taking per dose.

Tinctures are very discrete. Tinctures in a small eye dropper bottle and can be stored in a pocket or bag and used without producing any cannabis odor. The terpene blends used in this tincture are very flavorful and very potent. Just 1ml dropper full of Purple Daze under the tongue and I’m set for hours.

Why Gummies are Easy to Infuse and Dose using Water Soluble CBD:

Full spectrum CBD or CBD isolate? Many CBD gummies are made with CBD isolate that contains just cannabidiol, without NO additional cannabinoids.

Some gummies are made with full spectrum hemp extract and have trace amounts of THC and plant cannabinoids. Broad spectrum extract, has plant cannabinoids but no THC.

Fact: Water soluble CBD Isolate contains NO THC.

Fact: The dosage amount for most CBD gummies on the market varies from 5mg to 30mg per gummy. Using water soluble makes it easy to infuse, easy to dose using precise measurements of CBD isolate.

Chefs Note: From a culinary perspective.  Gummies made with water soluble CBD isolate have less of a hemp taste and taste more like traditional gummies. This may make isolates a better choice for those who don’t like the taste.
