Why freezing is the best option for storage of canna butter
Many recipes and butter machines do not make small batches of canna butter. Making large recipes of canna butter can create a problem with storage, and throwing it away can never be an option.
Plain butter can be stored in the fridge for extended periods of time, but cannabutter shouldn’t be stored in the refrigerator for more than one month. In order for it to last a month, it needs to be properly wrapped and stored in an airtight container.
Fact: For extended periods longer than a month, freezing is be best option, but the butter must be packaged properly to be stored in the freezer.

2. Once the butter is solid, pop the butter sticks from the butter molds, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap, then wrap the butter in foil and place in an air tight container.
3. Place the canna butter in the freezer.
Chef’s Notes: A trick to make cannabutter last longer is adding a little salt to the canna butter when it’s cooling down.
